AVLOKAN is the annual technical festival of the Association of Civil Engineers (ACE), Department of Civil Engineering, Birsa Institute of Technology (B.I.T.) Sindri.
Conducted over three days, AVLOKAN brings together engineering students from across the country to apply classroom theory to real-world problems — with emphasis on civil infrastructure, sustainable development, and digital engineering.
The festival features a 12-hour inter-college Hackathon, Technical Paper Presentations, AutoCAD Drafting Contests, Civil Engineering Quiz, Survey Treasure Hunt, and concludes with cultural performances and a grand valedictory ceremony.
Real-world infrastructure and sustainable development challenges
Smart cities, IoT, robotics, and digital construction solutions
Open to all undergraduate & postgraduate engineering students
From intense hackathon sprints to cultural celebrations — every day brings something extraordinary.
Inter-college teams choose a problem statement and develop a working prototype within 12 continuous hours. Expert panel evaluates demonstrations at the end.
Individual and team-based technical competitions demonstrating domain knowledge, research acumen, and presentation skills.
Celebrating achievements with cultural performances, guest lectures, prize distribution, and the formal valedictory ceremony.
12 hours. 44 challenges. 5 tracks. Build a working prototype that solves real-world civil engineering problems.
